A Safe Place is dedicated to eliminating domestic violence in the community through multifaceted programs that work with victims, perpetrators, and the community at large. Services include emergency shelter; transitional living; courthouse advocacy; abuser intervention; counseling and advocacy; children’s programs; and active outreach efforts. Built in 1991, this emergency shelter has housed over 7,700 women and children to date. This number does not reflect the many employees who work in the building around the clock to serve clients. A Safe Place averages 480 residential clients per year. An average household of four people would have to live in their house for 120 years to get the level of wear and tear this building experiences in just one year.

*Due to the confidential nature of the facility, the exact location and directions will be provided at a later date.
